2006 precedent got wet?
Considering buying a electric precedent that the owner says he was driving it and went though like a foot to foot and a half of water and it stopped suddenly. I own two gas club cars but dont know much about the electrics. Any guesses what it could be and what kind of repair costs we are talking. I would do all the work myself just curious what kind of costs i could be looking at. Any ideas guesses or knowledge welcome. thanks

Re: 2006 precedent got wet?
Could be as simple as a bad or corroded connection.
MCOR could have flooded: $100 Might have popped controller: $500 Failed solenoid: $75 Bad wiring harness: $125 Any or all of the above Not likely motor or rear end were harmed, they' sealed pretty well. |

Re: 2006 precedent got wet?
If you are buying the cart for personal use. I'd buy at $1600, if he won't move on price.
If you are buying to resale. If the batteries are less than 2 years old, I'd try to buy at $1500. 2+ years old I'd be more in the $1200 to $1400 range. That's a good looking cart. I wouldn't work him too hard. I don't know where you are, so I don't know your market, here I'd be putting that cart on my trailer. |
