Poor guy - now I've got him zipping forward when the lever is in reverse (I think) and backing up slowly in "F". That's what I get for not reading closely. Let's let Sergio review and make a (more appropriate) suggestion.

It would help knowing the actual Controller model # You have in that cart.

Also, can you post a picture of the back of the FNR switch showing the micro-switches?

In the OEM setup, the micro-switch #3 (closest to the batteries) controls the slow speed by introducing a resistor in series with the throttle wiring.

We may be able to spot an issue with that wiring by looking at the picture.

I cannot see anything in those pictures that would explain how the cart can go faster on Reverse.

You can definitely spin the tires easier on reverse but the speed should be the same since there is nothing in the FNR that can activate a different speed.

You may want to test the throttle signal:
Remove the quick connectors from Controller terminals #2 and #3.
Set your meter to 20kΩ and place the probes on the two wires that you disconnected.
Measure the resistance from Pedal Up to Pedal Down.
Please post your results, the meter should be close to 0Ω at Pedal Down.

The black and the white wires (Terminal #1 is near the edge of the Controller).

Key OFF and keep it OFF.

Put FNR in both Forward and Reverse to make sure the signal reading is the same.
