Underneath the floor on the passenger side. On the outside of the I-Beam of the main frame.

I put the paper lip between the green and blue and turned to run and key on forward depress pedal and nothing happens

Where would the diode be located on the solenoid if it has one? And it appears that since the paper clip test didn’t show any results my controller is bad then and if so do I need to replace the controller or is there a way to open it up and replace the part that is bad. I’ve seen online some people have done repairs to their controller so I didn’t know if that’s possible with this issue.

On the stock Allbrite solenoid, the diode is tiny, welded to the two blade terminals.
On any replacement/aftermarket/heavy duty solenoid, it's larger and is also connected to the smaller activation terminals, with solver stripe pointing towards activation positive. There should also be a large ceramic resistor between the two larger posts; this can sometimes get super hot or glow cherry red if the capacitors inside the controller have failed. Aside the events where a customer mistakenly placed 6 volt batteries in a car designed for six 8-volts, oftentimes someone will put correct batteries in, but reverse one, so you got two batteries connected negative to negative, positive to positive and experience slowdowns too. |
