I think I would try a new switch, or just hook the wires that make it go forward together for a test.

Can you explain that a little bit better for a dumby? Do you mean take the wires out of the f and r and connect them together?

There should be a Brown, Orange and Blue. Connecting the Brown to Orange or Blue to Orange will give you a direction. Orange being the common and Brown or Blue being the 2 directions.
As I mentioned when you swapped the switch around and it did the same thing, you may have a controller issue.... (Unless that harness has gone bad and is intermittently grounding out) |
