Default Serial number plate

Just picked up a Ezgo cart yesterday. 36v series drive. Was told it is a 2005. I should have checked the serial number on the plate when I picked it up.Today looked for ID plate in right glove compartment no plate. Is there any other way to verify what year it is.

under the seat, lift the black plastic cover and look on the cross member there should be a white sticker with the ser number.

Yes it's a 2005. Is it a PDS or series drive. Is the forward and reverse switch on the on the dash? or on the cart body by your knee. On the dash is a PDS drive system

It is a series drive system. It has US batteries in it July/ 2018. Runs good. I know it is now speed daemon but I am in now hurry. It will get us around just fine. The lights are hook up to a 3 way key switch. First time I have seen one of the. It does need a 36 to 12 reducer on it.

If you cannot find anything that says what year the cart is in all the locations suggested above, you might find a label on the motor or differential that will put you into the ballpark for the year.

Attached is a picture of the original motor that came with my cart attached to the differential showing the labels. The motor is dated 04/28/07 and the differential is dated 07/31/07 while the cart's MFG Code is B0808, meaning Aug-08. So the EZGO's supply chain lead time is up to about a year, or so, on those parts.

It will be difficult to get to those labels since your cart has a rear seat, with a mirror or something you might be able to see a date on one of those labels and you'll know within a year or so of the cart's build year.

Thanks JohnnieB
I found the serial number on the cross member under the plastic cover at rear of batteries.
G2505 TXT. So it is a 2005 like the PO said. I will keep info. about the labels on the axle and motor in mind. It will help if a run up on this situation again.
