Check this lift out....got any opinions?
Is this safe?

lots of tools, sandpaper, steel brushes, some oxide neutralizer or converter and rent a ton of movies for your wife to keep her away while you working
it looks good and custom fabbed, I would reinforce a little the welding on that plate (where the frame is cut), put few more and bigger bolts and nuts on there and you might want to dissassemble that whole lift and work part by part, this will make a better work. So far it looks good for neighborhood riding. Not at all for off roade or heavier requirements. |

that is just a basic ol cut the frame lift. new ones are available for under $200 i think. not to sure of the quality of the one you have there as that is hard to tell in the pictures. if you question it at all just order otu a new one. they are already painted pretty too!

Look in the phone book for a sand blast shop near you and ask what it will cost to strip it down.
Also ask about other types of media as opposed to sand. For example walnut shells. That will clean it right up in a couple of hours. |
