Default EZGO pds controller help

I have a 2007 ezgo pds with a 6" lift and 22" tires and a rear flip back seat. I want more torque so i was wanting to put 4 gauge cables and a solenoid for now and in a couple of weeks a 500 amp alltraxx controller and leave the motor stock for now! What solenoid do i need and what do you all recommend. Thanks

You are, if you got the 500amp controller you would need to replace the motor, or get it upgraded.

You'll like that. I have the 07 PDS, 4 ga cables, 400 amp controller, and it ran really nice with lots of torque. Now, with the 48 volt upgrade, the stock motor will almost pull the front end off the ground. Well, it will unload the front suspension.

That's a good question...... some say the motor won't last with access to 500 amps but, others say there isn't really 500 available in a GC battery pack?

Most agree your motor won't last forever running on a 500a controller, but nobody says how long it will last?
The same is said of running your 36v motor on 48v ... but again, we have no clear time or limit as to how long they will last. Some of us have run 36v motors on 48v for 2 years without problems.
