Default What happened?

I was driving slowly through the wooded trails on our property. I heard a big clack under the front and then all of a sudden my cart sped up on its own.
I pushed on the brake and it stopped. I was afraid that something had broken, but I pushed on the accelerator and everything seemed fine again.

Any ideas what might have happened? Can a branch come up underneath and somehow cause it to speed up? It was very disconcerting.
Thanks.

A branch or limb could have snagged on the throttle rod and forced it into wide open throttle.

Yes, absolutely! It may not cause full throttle, but it can wake you up for sure!
