Default Re: Battery Voltage Question

Here is what I have. 51.4 at the battery pack on the hand held. 51.4 at the incoming on the switch in the dash = wiring harness is ok. 50.9 - 51.2 on the in dash meter and it fluctuates. The meter is connected to the outgoing side of the switch along with the voltage reducer power supply. My hand held meter gets about the same reading as the in dash meter on the outgoing side of the switch and it fluctuates also.

So... Does the switch have resistance or is the votage regulator causing the issue?

What switch are you referring too? I would have to say that having the in dash meter and reducer feed off the same 48v pos feed is causing the fluctuation issue.

I am referring to the key switch. I have the in dash meter + and power control wire for the converter (turns it on and off) connected to the outgoing side of the keyed switch. I guess I could remove the converter control wire and see if that corrects the problem. If not, I feel like it has to be in the switch.

Thoughts?

The switch could be a possibility as well.
