Default Speedy link for 2008 club car question?

So I just bought two 2008 club cars serial number starts with PD and I tryed a speedy link in both of them and got no speed increase they go about 14mph but they should do closer to 20 mph, also it only speeds up when going in reverse with the speedy link but no change in speed for forward.
Anyone know what could cause this?

I have a third 2008 club car precedent and the speedy link works great!
Could it be because the start of the serial numbers are different the precedent starts with PQ and the two club cars I just bought start with a PD!

Speedy Link or hi speed magnets will not work in Excel cars. That's your problem. The PQ car is an IQ. That's why it works so well in that one.
