Default what would you buy

I put this in the EZGO and Yamaha electric forums to see if I get different replies...
I also started a couple other threads on this topic but thought if I put it this way, it would help my decision...

I need a golf cart for cruising 4 people around my campground. There are a couple hills, nothing too dramatic and not very long. We take short trips and I'm good with 12mph on the flats and 8mph on hills.

Would these carts do the trick and if so and you were forced to choose, what golf cart would you buy for $3400?

#1 = Stock 48v 2011 Yamaha with 6, 2011 8volt batteries, a light kit, windshield and a back seat.

OR

#2 = 36v 1995 series EZGO Medalist with 6, 2015 6volt batteries, stock motor, 400 amp controller, HD solenoid, new 4g cables throughout, stock FnR switch, light kit, windshield, new custom madjax wheels and 18'' tires, new HD springs and a new backseat.

New batteries would probably sway my decision. (2011 batteries could be EOL shortly)

In this case i would go with the ezgo. It has new batteries, and has most all upgrades done to suit your needs. If it has upgraded cables & solenoid, i am assuming it has a aftermarket 400a controller (the factory HD 400a controller is not that great IMO).
Only thing it needs is a HD f&r, not very expensive. Plus, if you ever wanted to have 33% more speed & torque, it sounds like most of the work is already done (if the controller is a Alltrax).

I personally would go with the EZGO. for a few reasons. For starters, you got new batteries. on the Yamaha....fairly soon you will be buying batteries to the tune of $650 to $800. You will need to get a HD F&R switch from ScottyB at cartsunlimited.net IF you end up needing more torque/power, you can get a new motor and the rest of your drive system is already ready for it AND your batteries are new.
