Anyone run larger tires on a g19 w stock motor
I have a g19 with Altrax 300 controller and 8x 6 volt 250 ah batteries. I am thinking of a lift kit and larger tires. I have read that shunt carts don't have low end torque like series drive carts do, I am not interested in speed just need
ground clearance for pasture and fields My setup is strong and run time is very long but don't want to change the stock motor, so doe's anyone run oversize tires on stock motor? |

Re: Anyone run larger tires on a g19 w stock motor
My dealership (Yamaha) builds carts like this all the time. The Alltrax upgrade should be good for your torque, and using the stock motor should be fine. The one thing I would recommend is upgrading to 4 gauge wires throughout cart to prevent heat issues driving through pasture and rough terrain. Also keep in mind going at a very slow speeds will cause electric components to heat up quickly...which is where your bigger wires would come in handy. Hope this helps ;)
