Default Motor Warm while charging

I noticed this evening that my motor was reasonably warm while the charger was on. Has anyone else experienced this? It can't be normal. It's a 36v series GE motor.

That's my plan, when I get up in the morning I'll see if it's still warm once the charger is off...

Ok, this morning the motor is cool as a cucumber. Any thoughts?

I'm almost wondering if it wasn't still warm from the drive I took it on before charging. It had been about an hour, I thought it would have cooled in that amount of time.

Thanks crash. Next time I take it for a drive I'm going to allow it to completely cool before recharging.

Just an update to this thread. Last night I set the charger for 12 hrs at around 10 pm. When I got up at 8 am (charger still on) I went out and felt the motor- cool as a cucumber. I'm chalking this one up to still being warm from driving. This thing went through two parades yesterday and a trip to the local CC for fireworks and ran flawlessly.

Bet it was from driving. The old resistor carts do get a little warm in a few spots occasionally, but things ought to stay cool when charging.
