Default Yamaha Gas Not Charging

I have a Japanese Yamaha 4 seat gas golf cart, serial number JN7-006784, that isn't charging. It starts and runs as expected as long as the battery is 12.00 volts or higher. I have replaced the voltage regulator, battery and starter-generator with no results, still not charging.
Near the voltage regulator, there is a red 4 pin plug that has nothing in it. The wires going to it are:

Blue = upper left
Red/white = upper right
Black = right & left bottom

This cart seems to be about the same as G16, can't find the serial listed on any sites. The wiring has been chopped up in the past, I've had it about a year and a half, always had to charge it.

It doesn't have a switch for the accelerator, it has a starter button and a button to turn it off. I checked a few other carts here, some have the buttons like mine, others have the accelerator switch.

Any help would be truly appreciated !

Once when my G14 didn't charge all it was the small individual charge wire that connected (plastic covered round plug in connectors) to my starter/generator came unplugged and was dangling down pretty well hidden away. Yours likely has more serious wiring issues if its been "modified" Generally if the motor runs all is there to make it also charge provided all the connections are in place??

When my G14 isn't charging I look to see if the green wire from the S/G has been knocked apart from me doing something else under the seat.

Reading other posts about charging problems, I came across one that suggested checking the ohms between the green and red wire from the S/G. I checked and it had a reading of 6 ohms.
Can anyone suggest something else to try ?

Thanks for your time !
