I know 06 models you can have a dealer put in a PTV (reprogram controller) kit which will get it up to around 19 mph. But it has to have headlights, taillights, horn and some other stuff. Not sure if it is avaible on the 04. Contact site sponsor EMP and he might be able to reprogram the controller but he will need to know info on controller.

I'll take you have a G22-E. Several ways. If you don't care about "anti runaway" or "regenative braking", just "unplug" the motor sensor lead (from motor end plate to main wire harness) and see if it's fast enough for your needs. G22 controllers are pretty "low" amp rateings, but I have many times changed out the motor to a "high speed" unit and had no problems with the stock controller. Remember, you will loose some torque and if you are goig to "climb" hills or "tow" something...you will need to "upgrade" the controller (higher amp rating), but it's a street car...just change out the motor. 23 mph with 10" rims. I have a 88 electric clubcar. Does it have a speed controller chip? If it does I can't find it. How can I make it go faster other than changing the gear ratio?
Thanks All!
