Voltage Reducer question
I have a factory reducer on my G29 and was fiddling with some of the wires when one "arched" and the lights are radio wouldn't turn on. I checked the reducer and was only getting .9V on the outlet so something went wrong. I hooked up the lights and radio to one 12V battery just to check them and they worked so no damage.
I don't see it, but does the reducer have a fuse that I may have blown or do you think its toast? Thanks LP |

Re: Voltage Reducer question
My reducer has a fuse right at the reducer. It is inline with the positive lead.

Re: Voltage Reducer question
If the arc was 48v getting into the 12v part of the reducer, its toast. The reducer does not tolerate that at all.

Re: Voltage Reducer question
I get a significant spark when I connect up my batteries - and it is the reducer that does it. It has not blown the fuse though. As long as you had it connected correctly, it should be ok.
