Re: YDRE burned controller wire
If they are clean and tight they will be ok. You can tighten them more than you think. It is also important to have the proper size lug there. Too big and it will not get as good a connection.

Re: YDRE burned controller wire
One thing is for sure, I am going pay extra special attention to tightening the cables and to make sure they stay tight. All the other terminals were still tight when I removed the controller last night. Just that one got loose I guess. Question, if we assume all cables are tight correctly and have good connection and under normal driving, how hot should that motor and J9 cable get?

Boosted, what set up do you have and how many miles or time do you think you have on it?

Re: YDRE burned controller wire
Mine did the same thing, except I have the stock motor with the xct 300 controller. Did you ever figure out what the issue was?

Re: YDRE burned controller wire
sorry for the late response/update. Been extremely busy with work. I cannot speak highly enough of Don at Plowmans and of Alltraxx for the help they gave me during this issue I had a while back. As well as everyone on this site. I ended up getting a new controller which from all the talking with Don and Alltraxx I ended up getting a free replacement which I thought was incredibly awesome. There was not any motor damage, so I hooked up the new controller and used flat & lock washers this time, which maybe over kill but I'm not going to let what happen last time happen again. So far so good after a couple of months, and probably around 100 miles or so, no mishaps or anything. Motor still runs pretty warm but not near as hot as it did before. Thanks again to everyone here, Don and Alltraxx! If anyone has any questions just let me know.
