1997 yamaha g16e shutters when pedal depressed
hey guys, have a good one here, when I push the pedal down just a little it will run fine but if I give half way on the pedal it shutters and shakes, only when starting out. is this a voltage problem or F&R switch?

Measure your battery voltages. Could also be a motor in need of brushes.

I have new batteries, only shudders on take off then its fine

I would also suggest checking the motor out.

If batteries are new, I would put my money on worn out brushes in the motor.
