Electric to gas conversion
Hello everyone I recently converted my 1990 Ez go to a harbor freight 420cc 13 hp engine, what I did was a live axle set up in the rear. New problem is I keep throwin chains off my alignments are all good I think it's the axle articulation causing a delay in my fun. I do have to stock electric Ez go axle. Is there a way that I can get a drive and driven clutch set up to work on that electric axle? Has it been done or any threads about doing so? Any info would be greatly appreciated, I want to get rid of the chain set up and go belt drive and be reliable. Thanks everyone!

Re: Electric to gas conversion
I know this is a bit late, but it looks like you need to add a spring loaded idler sprocket to take up the slack and keep the chain tight.

Re: Electric to gas conversion
I did add a tensioner I had one originally. I put in a heavier tension spring on it seemed to help resolve my issue.

Re: Electric to gas conversion
Cool,
Interested in seeing how fast it will run and how forward to reverse shifting works out with engine running, |

Re: Electric to gas conversion
I have a dpdt actuator for shifting it in forward and reverse that's built into the rear axle
