Default pros and cons of 2 guage wire?

Are there any negatives of using 2 quage battery cables?...thinking of upgrading

I doubt it, more flow for electricity. But don't expect any noticeable performance in the cart either without upgraded parts lol

Not as flexible, tougher to route. More money, when 4g wires are suitable for most upgraded & stock carts. Given the choice, I would take the 2g wires, Overkill is the coolest way to kill!

upgrade once to 2ga and then there is no worries if you ever decide you want to add a bigger controller. I wasted money on a 4 ga cable set for when it came time for a new controller they were to small.

0'-4' length requires 2ga above 300 amps. So if you're running a 500 amp controller like the Altrax, then 2ga wire is a necessity.

The larger the wire size means less resistance. Less resistance means cooler wire temp. The higher you go with amperage the hotter the wire will get with more resistance.

That is about my extent of electricity. I'm a mechanical guy.

Thanks guys, I'm running a navitas 600 amp with stock motor and wires, basically a ticking time bomb....I'm upgrading the motor soon and I guess wires now
