Default 89 marathon runs for 5-10 seconds then shuts off

Sounds like a fuel issue? But my carb is new, fuel pump is new, new lines and filter and my line going into tank was cleaned out. This thing has been a nightmare since my brother and law drove it at our campground! Basically it wouldn't do anything at all, just turn over and would sometimes start to fire up but nothing. I noticed I had hardly any fuel spitting out of the line so I replaced all that crap and now it will start and run for 5-10 seconds. Then it does and I'll release the throttle and give it gas again then it takes off for about the same time. Any suggestions?

Are you saying that when you release the choke not the throttle it only runs for 10 seconds or so?
Letting off the pedal should make it shut off thats why im asking.
Also running with the choke says you still have a fuel issue witch can be a few things.

First I would hook up an induction timing light and see if you are loosing spark just to rule out an issue there.
Have you recently replaced the spark plug? They can make really odd running issues.

I have several plugs. All have been used before with no problems. And it just dies while driving down the road. Pedal is pushed, no choke used at all but I have messed with choke position. It just bogs down and then I release the pedal and push it and it starts moving again. Right now I think it's gonna be electrical problem. Because out of the blue as soon as I turn the key the engine turns over instead of waiting for the accelerator pedal to be pushed down. This is a brand new problem. Seriously, something new happens every time I go to mess with it. So basically now I turn the key, it takes off, and dies down and for me to get moving again I turn the key off then back on and it goes again for another couple of seconds
