Is there a delay between pedal pressed & full power launch?

Do you get full power as the park brake is released?
I have a Yamaha YDRE and it takes some adjustment of the brake pedal mechanism to eliminate some of the power snap.

Ok so getting back to this nightmare, now it doesn't go at all. It has a moric controller and all the diagrams I found don't seem correct. I will post more in a couple hours when I find out what is going on.

This diagram should match your cart. If your pedal assembly needs adjusting, here are two pages from the shop manual.

I haven't even opened them yet but thanks. From The best I can tell we should have between .5v and 3.5 V on pin seven, we have .49v and it never moves when you depress throttle

Ok we replaced the throttle position sensor. Cart almost running correct lol.
The 26 pin controller plug needs to have downward pressure on it for everything to work. I took harness end (female) plug apart and all pins and wires are tight.
Checked each male prong on the controller, each one is tight. When plugged together everything seems tight, but unless I put just a few pounds of downward pressure on the harness plug (not the wires just the plug) the cart runs. Now back to the original problem. I miss spoke when originally posted. What happens is if you go full throttle the cart runs fine, and from a stop you can take off as slow and smooth as you want to fwd or rev. But once you are full throttle and running top speed, if you let up on throttle pedal, and start coasting then try to mash throttle again there is nothing, it just keeps coasting until it almost stops, then when the cart is almost stopped if you are holding the throttle down it will give you whiplash. Soooo if your running at top speed and you release throttle and start coasting, you might as well just stop the cart and take off again. Help please.
