Yamaha G8 SR48400 throttle problem
It looks like Scotty's out of the office for the weekend, so, I'll ask here. I got an Alltrax SR48400 for my old G8 and wired it up. It is functioning fine, but theres a problem. Everything is working but the throttle. The cart works (slowly) until I get to 50% pedal, and then it quits until I release the pedal. I checked the Alltrax toolkit software and it's not reading the throttle input right. It’s set on 0-5k (2 wire) Is everything right?
Thanks, Luke |

Re: Yamaha G8 SR48400 throttle problem
Do you have the three wire throttle sensor? If so it seems you have to use the blue and white wires for the throttle and green goes to B-. My setting is the Yamaha setting 0-1K.
Is the LED flashing a code? |

You were exactly right. Thank you so much! I also talked to the support at alltrax which is amazing. They confirmed the same thing.

I would also suggest going back into controller software and doing "clear auto cal" so it can properly "learn" your throttle now that it's set to correct type.

Re: Yamaha G8 SR48400 throttle problem
I will thank you. Btw for the record, it’s a 0-1k throttle on the G8, not a 0-5k like everyone tells you. Thanks!

Re: Yamaha G8 SR48400 throttle problem
LOL, don't know who told you that. For a Yamaha, I would have told you "if it has a 36v controller, it's 0-1k. if it has a 48v controller it's 0-5k. If it's a Ydre (also happens to be 48v), it's 0-5v".
But, I did not see your post until the issue had already been identified. Glad it's going. |
