Default 2004 Clays Car Engine size

I have a 2004 Clays Car. It surges at low speeds and I am thinking it is the carburetor. I figured I would just replace it. Problem is I am not sure if the engine is the 295 or 350cc.

Thanks in Advance
Rick

Should have a tag on the motor, eh295 or eh350 with a serial number.

Could it be a linkage adjustment problem?

Welcome to the board Rick.

Thanks for the welcome 😃

I just went out and looked at it, I took a pic of it but I guess because my post count is so low I can't attach it. Anyway the number started with eh352 not really sure if I looked at the right tag or not it was on the timing chain cover.

It may be a linkage adjustment but at a steady low throttle position it lurches back and forth.

Do you have linkage running in front of timing cover? if so it has to have a little slack in it.

So just make sure the eh352 code means it is 350?

Then I guess that's not it. I had one that was adjusted too tight and it surged.

Might want to jack the rear up and run it, see if the governor is moving the linkage back and forth at low speed.
