Did you buy a shorter belt for more torque? Is that belt 1 3/16" wide?

It still jumps to life, and sounds good.
That was the belt that came on it I have another belt that is .75 shorter. It’s the dayco HP3004, I could give that a try. It just seemed a little snug on there. I’ll measure the original belt

Measure how long your belts are. This one is 45"

A longer belt would climb higher.

That Dayco belt says it's for a Honda Odyssey. I don't know if it crosses.

The original belt is the 45” belt. The new one I have just sitting is the 44.25” belt

I'm running out of ideas. That thing should be screaming around your yard the way it is.

The only other thing I can think of is that this cart is the GXT800 and may have different gearing in the rear end due to it being a utility cart. I ran it yesterday and it seemed like it was going fast enough. I also have access to a 1985 donor cart and I can see if I can swap out the rear end gearing and see if that makes a difference.

Could it be possible if timing were slightly off, for it to run better in reverse? I’m only thinking 1 if not 2 degrees out.
