Default Yamaha G8A axle shaft

Hi guys took the axle shafts off the cart and need to replace the bearings, how do these come off? the axle and hub are together unless these unscrew from each other. The shaft is tapered so it doesn't seem possible to press the bearing on from the splined end

It looks like it goes on from the splined end...

It's kind of a bad design. There is a "sticky" on the top of the Yamaha gas section covering a G1 axle bearing replacement. Yours would be the same procedure. Good luck,

Thanks Smallblock that was great info.

This thing has been one big headache after another .it was a Frankenstein when I bought it ,they did so many things wrong but its coming alone.
Got into the axles after my input shaft snapped in half.

Thanks again
