Default G9/G5 no crank and cut wires?

Just bought a 94 gas, I think its a G9 (fleet). Trying to get started, no crank, noticed the wires that go to the micro switch activated by the gear selector lever have been cut. Why would someone do this? Can I bypass these? Thanks in advance. Want to get this thing started!

Don't know why someone did it. I've seen some really butchered up carts without good reason for the butchering.

You could try to reconnect the wires. Anytime one is having electrical issues on a vehicle and there are damaged wires, the first step is to fix the wires.

Those wires and micro switch would be for the back up buzzer. Has no control over the starting circuit.

Ok, found the fuse, it was fried, replaced, no fire. New battery. I suspect the gas pedal switch, can someone tell me how to bypass it? I have power at the relay, at the fuse, cant get power to the starter. Tried to put tester needle all around gas pedal plunger switch, nothing. No idea what Im doing but this cant be that hard. I hate having the gas pedal start this thing. Help! I think Im close!

smallblock450sl has forgotten more than I’ll likely ever know about Yamaha carts. Between him and slonomo & some others they’ll have this figured, and yes, sounds like you’re almost there

There is a "sticky" at the top of this section. "so your Yami wont turn over". You will need a volt meter and know how to use it. Good luck
