Welcome!

That’s no fun. You’ve checked all the stuff I would have. Don’t toss the original carp, pump, etc. they are much better than Amazon -type replacement parts. Is it getting fuel? A little spit from the line to the carb while cranking it over? ( fire extinguisher nearby) And yes, if there’s little/no compression it’s not gonna run well.
For compression, my ‘87 G2 shows about 110. Should be much higher, yet it still goes up the hills pretty well, no smoke - yet!
Best wishes, and please let us know how it goes

Basics:

1. Fuel - check the fuel line at the carb
2. Air - check the air filter or remove
3. Spark - check at the plug, make sure it's grounded
4. Compression - check with thumb over hole, and with a gauge

If you have all 4 it should run, unless the timing is off, which will require removing the flywheel to check.

Verify that the throttle actually opens when the pedal is pressed (aka broken throttle cable).

Ok I have checked compression and there is less than 30 psi. What should I do next? Thanks

Check the valves and reset to factory specs.

Beyond the valve lash....

1. head gasket or loose head bolts
2. compression rings worn
3. damaged block or head
4. damaged valves

I tried dumping some oil in the spark plug hole then rechecked the compression and it came up to 60 psi. How do I “check the valves”?

Here's a pretty good video on how to check valves on a small engine

I think it has serious engine issues. The push rods and rocker arms don’t move when the engine turns over. Broken cam maybe?
