Default Motor swapping

I have a g2 that was given to me but it caught on fire and burnt up everything from seat back. I know a guy selling a motor and wiring harness from an 97 ezgo and wanted to know if you would bolt in and work? I've read alot of threads but nothing very distinctive on a answer. Thanks ahead of time.

Can it be done? Well, with enough determination, patience, money and fabrication skills, you could probably do it. Is it going to be easy? Probably not. And if you are capable of performing such a feat, there are much better engine alternatives out there. Food for thought.

That's pretty much the same as asking if a Mustang V8 will fit in a Toyota Tundra. It will, but it won't just "bolt in". Lots of modifications there. Golf carts are no different. Each brand, model, and year are different and from each other.
