G16 differential high speed gear instal
Hi
I’m retired in Florida have a gas g16 Yamaha 2001. I want to instal these myself is this a complicated operation or doable for a novice. Also where do I get parts. Thanks in advance Ed |

Well, installing differentials is not a beginner type job. It doesn't mean you can't do it. It just means you'll be venturing into the land of the unknown and to expect delays, frustration, and added expense from parts and tools you may not have accounted for. On a scale of 1-10 (1=no mechanical experience; 10=seasoned mechanic) I would rate a differential gear job a 6-7. The reason is that you have to take a lot of parts off in order to get to the diff gears. Also you might need some pretty specific tools that the average homeowner may not have. |
