G16
I have a 96 g16 that I put brand new clutches and belt on because I lost all my power and speed. I still have the same problem as before. Any ideas?

Re: G16
What brand were the clutches and belt? If not Yamaha brand, I would be suspect of the quality of the parts. Are you able to lift the seat and view the engine and clutch operation while in neutral? Can you post a video to youtube?
If the problem is not in the CVT transmission/transaxle, then it must be in the performance of the engine. What condition is the engine in? I would do a compression check and check the valve lash. |

Re: G16
I put aftermarket clutches on with Yamaha belt. I will check compression and see if that is the problem. The motor runs really well with no misfires so I’m not sure
