Default what voltage is my cart?

Hello all
I have a columbia par car that I think is a 99 eagle. serial number is 3ER-29265-D9 I have been looking for info on this, I bought it without batteries. My guess is that it is a 36 volt, due to the v-style charging port. my concerns with the cart is that when I hooked up 6 6 volt batteries to it I got a flashing code 4 on the controller. as I looked at the solenoid it said 48 volt. I replaced the solenoid with a 36 volt solenoid and now when I flip from tow to run the solenoid clicks and I still get a flashing 4 code. It does not matter what position the key is in which I think is the issue but am not sure because I can't find a schematic for the unit. Any help would be great
Thanks

Check the labels on the motor and controller for voltage rating.

Being a 20+ year old cart, a previous owner may have converted it to 48 volt.

It was rebuilt from original as 99 didnt have sevcon. Is there a small sticker on the sevcon controller in the upper eight corner with a checkmark?

Also check the wiring harness. Near the end that plugs into the controller would be a white tag/tape showing the part number.

I found out what you're look at I beleive. It's the standard Sevcon thats used now, programmed to checksum 240pb, which is a standard golf cart, with pot box, and 48volts. It was reman'd at the factory to that setup . But with that checksum it should be a 24 volt solenoid as the controller is programmed to use only have the voltage. The resistance measured on solenoid coil should be about 52 ohms.

The attached wiring diagram should be the one you have, or very similar.

There is a check mark in the corner on a sticker along with 240Pb 7-16-15. From what i understand, it is a 48 volt system with a 24 volt solenoid and a 36 volt motor?

You are correct. The same motor actually is used on 24/36/48 volt vehicles.
