Um, I think Plowman just said he has all the engine parts in stock. That's Don Plowman, find him on the sponsors page....

Plowman's website isn't as advanced as most, he's kinda an old school guy, prefers a more personal interaction to make sure you get what you need and want etc. He's super knowledgeable. When it comes to Yamaha carts, especially G1's, there isn't anyone I know of that knows more than Don Plowman.

As far as the piston goes, can't really see anything obvious, but just looking doesn't do much anyway. You need to measure your cylinder and inspect for wear etc. Two strokes typically need rebuilt more often than 4 strokes. This one looks to have some hours on it. If you plan on keeping the cart just do yourself a favor and install a new cylinder, piston, and rings. Make sure you set it up per the manual. If you get the parts from Plowman's, you can rest assured it's good stuff.

Here’s the J38 clutch I spoke of. It’s been sitting awhile and needs to be cleaned up, I feel the pictures make it look worse than it is. Once disassembled cleaned and lubricated properly it should be a nice clutch. I do have some aftermarket pistons I’ll post pics in a few.

I have both .75 and 1.0 oversize. I bought out was left of some G1 parts from a local place and this is some of it. These piston kits are late 90’s early 2000’s old stock from a company called Intercoastal Manufacturing.I’ve have a bunch of G1 stuff but nothing G3 specific.
