Re: Melex Electric System
The serial numbers are sequential and not coded. So determinimg the year is a bit tricky. I have see something on the net that helps, let me look for it.

Re: Melex Electric System
This might help:
The all plastic model 512E came out in 1992. The "E" being for electric. This was followed by the gasoline model 512G in 1994. It came with a 16 cubic inch engine. The engines were painted black. In 1996 they introduced the 18 cubic inch engine which was painted red. |

Oh well - it runs great now that I tightened all the electrical connections. My charger flashes back and forth between the 3 lights and sometimes lights up more than one at a time. Anyone think that I need to replace the charger??? It still charges but not up to the capacity that it used to - could be the batteries too?? |

Re: Melex Electric System
If you're brave enough, disconnect the charger and take the lid off and check for loose connections - sounds like that might be where the problem lies....

Re: Melex Electric System
Here's one for $99. Someone could turn it into a trailer if nothing else.
