Choke Button Question?
I'm in the process of re-bodying my '93 DS gasser and whe I pulled the body off to remove the choke button to transfer to my new body, this is what it looked like (see pic). Isn't there supposed to be a rod or something? What does this even do? The choke does indeed work, you'd have to choke it when cold and then no problems at all. My point is, I don't want to have to transfer this button to the new body if it doesn't do anything? Anyone have any input on this? Thanks in advance!

Re: Choke Button Question?
Basically Doc... That's the beginning of your air intake!
(Air comes in the choke button, to the air filter, to the carburator) when you push on it to choke, it shuts off air flow to the air filter and carb! which in turn, supplies more fuel... then air to the engine for start up! IMO... you need it... put it back on! hope this helps! |
