Re: Slow going
PQ Bandit? 36 Volt car? I see a lot of problems here. The PQ Bandit is advertised on their site as a 48V IQ motor. That may be your problem. Let me know more about what you've got. The battery voltage readings you listed sound like a 36V battery pack to me. You also said it's a resistor cart. So that definitely leads me to believe it's 36V. The PQ bandit is definitely not designed for that, according to their site.

Re: Slow going
Tahoe, maybe it isn't a Bandit. The motor is the original 36V motor, rebuilt by PQ, and returned to me a purple powerful motor. I thought that was the Bandit and according to the website, the Bandit upgrade is good for 36 and 48V motors. I'll check with them to make sure. Yes it is a 36V cart. So why would it run fine for 6 months and then just drop to 50% or less? I pulled the wheels to check the bakes. They spin like a couple of roulette wheels so no dragging. I let the cart sit for three days and checked the voltages again. No changes, and the specific gravity is the same too. I rechecked all the connections, pulled apart the VGlide, and looked over the FR switch. I can't see anything odd.
36V 1989 series resistor cart, PQ motor, 4G cables, BU solenoid, VGlide wiper, all less than a year old. FR looks great. Brakes are free. All connections tight. BAtteries charge normally (20 amps down to 8 amps). Grinch From the PQ Bandit page: We can upgrade any DC brush motor. Below is a sample of cart and/or motor manufacturers that we have successfully upgraded **36 volt carts with only the Bandit motor upgrade should get around a 20% increase in both overall torque and speed.
