Default Voltage drop....

Just installed 4 new 12 v us battery xc after putting in a motor controller and solenoid and 4 g wires....put the charger on for over 24 hrs. Noticed the voltage meter read approx 50 .5 v when disconnected and when running I see the voltage dip to as low as 45 when climbing a hill......is this normal for a new set of batteries to draw that much or is it due to break in period with new batteries?

Drove the cart around a while and replugged it in.....after the charger shut off it now read 54.4 v ....which is 4 v higher than last charge......this is normal too?

Yes, while the cart is charging near the end of the cycle it will reach 63v+/-. After the charger shuts down it will be about 55v and in the morning it will be about 52v.

Also, as you break in new batteries correctly you will notice performance improvements after 10 to 20 charge cycles.
