Default Rebuilt controller

I traced 36 volts all the way to my controller(curtis 1204-001). Nothing on the other side. Had the controller rebuilt. Pit it back in, but still nothing. The solenoid is new. The issue developed over time with the accelerator having to be in precise positions in order to move forward. Then finally it went out completely. Any ideas?

I'll just guess and see if this diagram is close enough to help.... Is the solenoid clicking? If not .... Trouble shoot the solenoid activation circuit and let us know what you find.

Do you know what year the cart is?

I think 512 was early 90s model and 412 was 80s model?

The soleniod was bad. Bypassed the soleniod to see if we had any power to the motor. Nothing. Would it be worth it to modernize my cart? Could it be done and how? Thanks

Using a volt meter check the resistance of the two leads coming from the go pedal potentiometer. It should read smoothly 0 ohms to around 5000 ohms as pedal is moved. There is also a micro switch that you need to check mounted on the pot box. Sw is depressed with the pedal at off position.

Your cart drive system is all ready modernized with the pot box and a controller. You can up grade the parts for more speed and torque. Call ScottyB and he can walk you through the upgrade and sell you the correct parts .
