Default Broken secondary. Is it junk?

what is going on with this thing. It seems to be fairly new but it separated and wont work properly. Is it junk?

Not a ezgo man but it would seem the spring is broke or collapsed.

I was gonna say maybe the bushing broke and a chuck of it is holding it open. Just a thought. Doom might be right on about the spring being broke.

You don't need to pull the motor to replace the driven clutch.
