Default accellerator / throttle bypass help

recieved a yamaha not sure age or model all s/n gone 36v with the throttle pot bypassed, i know this due to some wiring mods i see and cart runs at full speed forward and reverse.I do know the pot is bad verified that ,im an engineer. So whoever owned the cart didnt want to buy a pot so they bypassed it, now im trying to figure out the mods they did so i can install a good throttle pot for smooth accelleration.UPDATE

Since that is a 0-1k ohm (0ohm = 0% throttle, 1000ohms = 100% throttle) throttle system, how did they bypass it? with a 1k ohm resistor. that clusterf**k in the pics looks more like the microswitch from the F&Rboard has been bypassed.....

ok the trottle pot is completely disconneted and I have rewired the f/r and diodes per the G8 wiring diagram, it still runs at full throttle soon as the accellerator pedal is switched (the pot is removed)so obviously the speed controll board is not working, i need to see if the output of the speed controller has been removed.

ok the hillbillies bypassed the speed controller board because it is bad basically ran the neg direct to motor ,so as soon as accellerator switch was enabled it was 36 v full current to the motor.......so now i need a speed controller..any leads on cheap controller??

Your cheapest option is prob. an Alltrax, Your controller is not fit for rebuild because it is torn apart, it is missing its cover/shell and who knows what else.
