Default lestronic ii blown fuse?

Hey guys i just picked up an older yamaha electric cart and the dual fuse on front of the charger is blown. Its a lestronic ii model 14100 36 volt. Where can i find a fuse for cheep? And hopefully thats all it is. Thanks for your help

If the fuses are blown, chances are the diodes are bad.

That double fuse assembly is expensive, about $38.00, but you can connect the two wire from the transformer that connect to it together and add an in-line fuse holder that connects to the ammeter. Use a 50A fuse.

Ok thank you for the reply, ill try that and if it blows that fuse ill have to replace the diodes then?

Check and make sure your battery polarity is correct to the charger ( white lead +, black lead -. Replace both diodes if the the battery polarity is correct. Don't replace the fuse with bad diodes, you'll just blow it again! You can have any electrical shop check the diodes for you.

Thank you, i took my charger apart and i only seen one diode in it? unless im over looking something im not sure.

It has two diodes mounted on a heatsink.

Follow the white wire from the output cable back to where it attaches inside the charger. That is the heatsink.

Here is a manual for it.

Iv;e never seen the faceplate or the insides of that model, but post some pictures of the innards and I should be able to point out the heatsink/diode assembly.
