Yamaha G1E no reverse
I'm trying to help a buddy fix his G1E. It has 1 year old batteries that have plenty of power. It works great in forward but a few days ago lost reverse. It had the FNR built into the key switch. He thought it was the key switch so he bought a new one, no luck. There is no solenoid click, nothing when it reverse. Forward, everything works great. I have looked for loose wires etc and don't find anything.
Suggestions?????  |

Both solenoids sound and feel like they are working in forward, and it drives in forward. Neither does anything in reverse. Should I change the reverse solenoid? Is there a way to test them before spending $80?
