Default Yamaha G2 electrical problem. HELP

For some reason my carts forward/reverse switch is stuck hot. When you put it in either forward or reverse the cart wants to take off with out the throttle pedal even being touched. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Welded contactor (solenoid). Disconnect a battery, then use ohm meter to test the large terminals on the solenoid. With the power disconnected, it should show no connection, it probably will show good connection.

That is a common failure mode, if you saw the size of the contacts in there that are asked to carry 300+ amps of current, day in and day out, you would not be suprised that this could happen.
