Default Speed on a G2??

Hey all,

I am new to the golf cart world and recently got myself a 1987 G2 electric cart. I am wondering what I can do to get adjust the top speed? I am looking for an inexpensive way of doing so. Is there any adjustments I can make? Also, what is an average top speed for a stock G2? I greatly appreciate anyone's help with this!!

No cheap options. No adjustments will help if it is working proper now. Sorry. Increasing voltage (new 8v or 2more 6v batteries, and a 48v charger). Or new motor. You could also put larger tires for more speed. It should go 12-14mph now.

I actually just did a extensive upgrade on my g9e. Two more batteries 6v, bigger 22" tires. Ended up costing me about $1,000 but she goes 20mph now! (I call it extensive cause I also had to switch it over to a solid state system) not bad started with a $300 cart and with all new batteries, solid state, 48v, tire lift I'm into it for $4,500. Guess you could say I caught the bug!
