Looking to buy 2008 or 2009 drive cart
I am looking at a couple of these electric drive carts. I have seen some chatter that these carts may have some steering issues with people in the back seat. On average, I would be driving with 2 or 3 passengers in the back at a max total pounds of #200 to #250 combined.
Anyone have issues? Or any other common issues with these carts? Thanks |

I personally have not had any steering issues with mine.

Re: Looking to buy 2008 or 2009 drive cart
When I first drove with my lift kit and tires with 2 adults on the rear seat, I did notice it was a little squirrelly. I put more air in the rear tires, and it seems better.

I know what you mean about being squirrly with a load on the rear end. More tire pressure and stiffer heavy duty springs will help with the issue.

Mine wife's new golf cart does it with two people on the back. We have speed bumps it's hard to over them. I have to get use to the new ele. Gas pedal.

Re: Looking to buy 2008 or 2009 drive cart
My parents have a 2009 and it does this, going up hills. You'll go to steer to turn onto their street, and nothing happens. Because the front wheels aren't even in contact with the road. Although you don't notice that you're doing a wheelie, or that they aren't touching until you can't steer as it's very minimal.
I'd say you have to start worrying about it after about 300 pounds on the rear. Or less if there was say, only the driver in front, and two people on the back. We usually just lean way forward when going up the hill now, and I specifically went with a club car when i picked up my cart so I wouldn't have to deal with it. |
