Rear Axle Identification
I just got a G14e and I am attempting to make it street legal. I inquired about purchasing a high speed gear and was prompted with what type of rear axle do I have. Any idea how to identify the type of rear axle on a G14e?

Re: Rear Axle Identification
If your axle has a black sheetmetal diff cover with fill plug on the back, its a dana built axle. If its all aluminum, with a went tube, and with no diff cover, its a yamaha built axle.

Re: Rear Axle Identification
The high speed gears sets for the G14/G16/G19 or G22 should work for you. Call Plowmans (site sponsor), I believe they sell them for about 280.00. I do recomend you purchase 2 "blind plugs", you'll have to remove them to replace the pinion gear.
