Newbie on the block! Looks like great information on this forum. Buying a G1 this weekend. One quick question, can you install a wire junction block on a G1. It seems like the lighting accessories are mounted directly to the battery.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

No reason why you couldn't. Use one heavy 8ga or 10ga wire from the battery to the fuse box or junction box. I added one of these to my EZGO a week ago. Really simplified the multiple accessory circuits on my cart.

read through a lot.. learned a lot. i may have missed it but the reason to change out the seals is not only to prevent leakage but because you can also get air sucked in and the cart wont run at full speed, is that correct?

leaking crank seals cause a lean fuel condition. So if you have to use the choke constantly that's a good indication they need replaced.

I bought my 1984 G1 a couple weeks ago for $200...but it didn’t run at the time. After putting approx. $300 and some labor into it I am driving it around fine now but cosmetically it is still in “project status”.

I just saw another 1984 G1 in good original condition listed on Craigslist today for $1400

Value is probably a regional thing as well as all over the board based on condition.

Tie Rod Question

I should replace a tie rod end on my G1. It's the upper end (inside end) on the passenger side. Why are there left and right hand threaded tie rod ends available and which do I need for my particular application?
