Default 2006 CC Precedent - Powerdrive 2 or 3?

What would have been the original charger that came wth an 06 Precedent? I keep hearing that others have a Powerdrive 2 whereas I have a 3. Just curious what the difference would be, if any...

I have a 2004 IQ that has a Powerdrive 3 so I’d assume one would work on an 06.

The PowerDrive3 has a different design for the relay "voltage suppression" circuit that allows the new versions of the OBC to detect a failed circuit and cause the warning light to blink when you first plug the DC cord into the cart.

The PowerDrive2 charger uses a diode in parallel with the relay coil to provide voltage suppression.

The biggest difference is the use of a single "bridge rectifier" vs 2 separate diode "heat sink" assemblies (both versions exist under the PowerDrive3 model name).

The "heat sink" assembly models run much cooler (only one of the diodes in each heat-sink is under power at the time) than the "bridge rectifier" model, but You can always install heat-sinks if the original bridge fails.

Both models provide the same output power and can be used interchangeably.
