Default USB Socket Charger Outlet - 06 Precedent

Looking to put one of these USB charger outlets on my Precedent. It has 2 posts on back for 12 volts in. I have a 48 volt to 12 volt reducer plugged into the dash harness for the lights but its doesn't have an "open" 12 volt out as it was plug 'n' play for lighting. Whats the best way to wire this in?

Some of those Precedent plug-and-play converters have an extra +12v output wire you can use.

If You don't have the extra output, You can just connect it to the "hot" side of your light switch.

You can also cut the +12v wire from the converter somewhere where it is convenient and splice/solder a new connection or use those nifty wago lever nuts to create a distribution junction.

Thanks, Sergio! I've never seen those before. I'll go that route as the converter only has the one output going into the harness.

How about installing a Cigar Lighter Socket so you can utilize other options instead of just the USB socket. I use mine for Xmas lights powered by a portable 120v inverter and a portable spot light as well.

Just a suggestion.

Good Idea! The USB plug is already on order but I have room to put a lighter plug too. Thanks!
