Re: club car DS to 72 volts
Battery compartment - No. Controller - No. Solenoid - No, etc. etc.
You will have to completely redo the electronics to be capable of that voltage and its surge capacity. |

Re: club car DS to 72 volts
I am not sure of that motors' design. And it does not state how many splines so I am unsure of whether it would fit or not. There are a lot of Golf Cart suppliers here you can look at for ideas. Look here for some ideas https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/c...-club-car-prec
And the ~54v you are referring to, is that on the 6x8v batteries? If so, that is the static voltage left from the finishing charge. It will quickly dissipate when you use it or it sits for ~12 hours or so. |

Re: club car DS to 72 volts
You sure it's a DS IQ? You mention that it has no computer plug in and no speed magnet. A DS IQ would have both of those. What's the vehicle serial number?

Re: club car DS to 72 volts
If you check under the dash area, looking upwards from the floorboard, it should have a sticker with a serial number. Give us the first set of letters/numbers to find out what kind of cart you have.
